Creating Your First Project

BugSmash supports multiple project types so teams can review websites, designs, videos, emails, apps, and documents — all from one workspace.

To create a project:

Dashboard → Create New Project

Select the project type you want to review and upload or share your content.


🌐 Website Projects

Perfect for: Live websites, staging websites, web applications, websites under development

Steps →

  • Select Website → Enter the website URL → Create the project

  • Browse pages, test flows, and switch to Comment Mode to leave feedback

  • Share the project with your team or clients


</> HTML Projects

Perfect for: Static HTML websites, frontend prototypes, website templates

Steps →

  • Select HTML → Upload your .html or .zip file (up to 20 MB)

  • Create the project and review your HTML files with comments and visual annotations

  • Share the project with your team or clients


💬 Embeddable Feedback Widget

Perfect for: Live websites, staging environments, development websites

Steps →

  • Create a Widget Project and copy the generated embed code

  • Add the script using the HTML snippet, npm package, or WordPress integration

  • Visitors can leave feedback through the floating widget, with annotated screenshots synced to BugSmash


🎥 Video Projects

Perfect for: Product demos, ads, video content

Steps →

  • Select Video → Upload the file or paste a YouTube link → Create the project

  • Add timestamp-based comments and collaborative feedback


🎵 Audio Projects

Perfect for: Audio recordings, voiceovers, podcasts .mp3 audio content

Steps →

  • Select Audio → Upload your .mp3 file or drag and drop it into the upload area

  • Create the project and start reviewing your audio

Supported formats: .mp3 · Maximum file size: 100 MB


🖼️ Image Projects

Perfect for: UI designs, mockups, visual assets

Steps →

  • Select Image → Upload your images → Create the project

  • Add comments, annotations, and visual feedback

Note: You can also copy and upload multiple images directly into the project.


📄 PDF Projects

Perfect for: Brochures, reports, documents

Steps →

  • Select PDF → Upload the file → Create the project

  • Review pages visually and add contextual comments directly on the document


📊 PPT Projects

Perfect for: Sales decks, investor presentations, slide decks

Steps →

  • Select PPT → Upload the presentation → Create the project

  • Review slides and collect feedback visually


📘 Doc Projects

Perfect for: Word documents, DOCX files

Steps →

  • Select Doc → Upload your document → Create the project

  • Review the document and collect feedback from your team or clients

Note: Version Comparison currently supports Word / DOCX projects.


📧 Email Projects

Use Email Projects to review newsletters, campaigns, and email templates before sending them live.

Steps →

  • Select Email → Enter the project name → Copy the generated email address

  • Send your email content to that address and wait a few seconds for it to appear in BugSmash

  • Review and comment directly on the email layout

Note: Emails usually appear within 10–20 seconds.


🧊 3D Model Projects

Perfect for: 3D prototypes, interactive 3D assets, 3D design files

Steps →

  • Select 3D Model → Upload your .glb file or .zip package → Create the project

  • For .zip packages, include one .gltf file along with its .bin and texture assets

  • Review your model from different angles and add feedback


📐 CAD Drawing Projects

Perfect for: CAD drawings, engineering designs, architectural models, 3D design files

Supported formats: .dwg, .dxf, .step, .stp, .ifc, .stl, .obj

Steps →

  • Select CAD → Upload your supported CAD file → Create the project

  • Review your CAD file directly in BugSmash

  • Add feedback and collaborate with your team or clients


📱 Mobile App Projects

Perfect for: Mobile UI reviews, Android screens, iOS screens, mobile app feedback

Steps →

  • Download the BugSmash Mobile App on your device

  • Select Mobile App → Start a review or annotate a screenshot

  • Start collecting mobile-specific feedback collaboratively
